Synopsis:
Immortal Dilemma is the hottest band in the Las
Vegas vampire rock scene. They draw insatiable fans from around the globe,
thanks to a supernatural attraction called Bloodlust. Tristan craved such an
opportunity to fill his empty mortal life, and now he has eternity to earn his
place along the legends of rock n roll debauchery.
Callie always feared that Tristan’s excesses would get him into trouble, but she never thought they’d lead him to immortality. To reconnect with him, she must weave her way through a world not only she had no idea existed, but does not welcome her.
Blade turned down a spot in Immortal Dilemma after learning what he must sacrifice for that lifestyle. He finds Callie a refreshing change from the girls in the vampire rock scene. When Callie drags Blade back into the world of Immortal Dilemma, his resistance drives her into the waiting arms of Tristan, who shows her the true meaning of Bloodlust.
But the very things that Callie fights so hard to save are the very things that fight to destroy her.

About the author:
Kristen shares a birthday
with Steven Tyler and Diana Ross. She spends each day striving to be half
as fabulous as they are. She’s worn many hats, none as flattering as her
cowboy hat: banker, retail manager, fledgling web designer, world’s worst
cocktail waitress, panty slinger, now makeup artist and author. She loves
sunshine, live music, the middle of nowhere, and finding new things to put in
her house. Because The Night is
the first book from The Night Songs
Collection.

1. What inspired you to write BECAUSE THE NIGHT?
A series of events inspired me to write Because the Night. I used to tell myself stories when I was trying to fall asleep at night to get my mind off all the crap that had happened during the day. Then, I had a dream about a girl trying to make her way in Vegas. I felt so strongly about it, I moved to Las Vegas to write a book about it. I tried and didn’t finish it, but it was invaluable research for when I actually wrote the book. Finally, my then to be writing partner Julie Hutchings said she was working on a book. Naturally, I said, you know….and this time, I finished it.
2. What characters do you connect with most?
Callie. I love her conviction and I love the fact that she does what she thinks is best, even when it’s a horrible decision.
3. What's your favorite book-turned movie?
Legends of the Fall
4. If you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?
Lennon. She’s supportive and fun. And it’s almost impossible to shock her.
5. Can you tell us about any other books you're writing?
I am working on Book 3 of The Night Songs Collection. (BTN is book 1). In Night Moves, book 2, you’ll be introduced to another couple and band, and in We Own The Night, book 3, the main characters from the first two books must work together to solve the problems they’ve created for themselves.
6. What do you do in your spare time?
I like to decorate my house, I read, I watch football, and go to concerts.
7. If you were stranded on a desert island which character do you want by your side?
Blade would keep me alive, but Tristan would keep me entertained. It’s a toss up.
8. Team Edward or Jacob?
Team Jacob.
9. Team Peeta or Gale?
Team Peeta

What intrigues me most about Because the Night is that it's vampires! :) I haven't read any of those in a while and I know I miss that type of supernatural creature. I also like that it sounds different with the rock scene. I hope I get to read this one! ^_^
Rock bands and vampires have to be an awesome mix!! It's been a while since I've read a different version of vampire story, this one sounds really interesting.
Thanks for the giveaway opportunities, a gal always needs a good lip gloss when listening to rock music and reading about vampires 8)

I'm so excited to see this book become a book! The vigor and vitality it gives the vampire genre is totally unique. I'm happy to have seen it born.
