When a crippled young lord rescues a girl falling from a tree, it reveals a secret about himself and his mother's side of the family that could put him at the center of a war with beings he thought only existed in fairy tales. Tristan Gareth Smyth lived his entire life stuck at home at Waverly Park, left behind while his Grandfather makes trips to London....

What is Armored Hearts?

One part Fairy Tale: There’s good, evil, temptations, and curses. And of course, faries.

One part Action/Adventure: Swordplay, flying machines, crossbows, and assassins.

One part Historical: After exploring the period, we added in details of the British past which make the story rooted enough to have a historical romance feel if it weren’t for the other elements.

One part Steampunk: it is science fiction which takes place in the past. An alternate history where inventions, gadgets, and personal conveniences do not belong, and yet, are there. But don’t let that scare you off if you don’t like Sci-Fi. In order to introduce the genre to a crowd of readers who may never have heard of it, Armored Hearts is very light on the Steampunk.

All Romance: Melissa Turner Lee is a romance novelist in the paranormal genre. She added a certain flavor to the book which gives it a lighter note and a mostly romantic storyline. In contrast, the books darker moments can be blamed on Pauline Creeden. Overall the story hits many notes which we hope will strike a chord with the reader in many areas of their heart.

**Pauline will be giving away a copy of her ARC ebook to one lucky commenter!

Did the author have any say on the design of the book cover? Also, who in the author's life encouraged them to sit down and write their first book?
