Is control over the elements a gift, or a curse?
Roxy thinks that she is in control of everything: with flames flaring at her fingertips and an equally fiery attitude, what more could she need? But then she meets Brae, a prince from a rival Realm, who turns her assumptions of superiority upside down.
Jasmine has none of Roxy’s confidence or intensity. But she does have a secret - and Brae - and she’s not going to give either up willingly.

Interview:
1. What's your favourite book-turned movie?
Books made into movies often really disappoint me: I spend months discussing them with my friends and getting really, really excited about them, then days afterwards moaning about everything I didn't like. I did really enjoy the Host though, and Fight Club - Fight Club is awesome. I'm really looking forward to the release of City of Bones this summer and I hope that I'm going to love it as much as the trailers suggest I will. In general, I prefer TV shows based on books. I love Game of Thrones, True Blood and Gossip Girl - I think that's because I'm more willing to accept that the writers have taken general themes and characters and then created their own plots.
2. If you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?
Jasmine - she's more understanding than Roxy, and loyal to a fault, so she would always be there if I needed her. She also unique talents which could prove quite useful…
3. Can you tell us about any other books you're writing?
At the moment, I am working on the follow up novels to Fire: Water and Air. Water is very nearly finished and should be ready for publication this summer. I'm also spending some time working on my next project, which will be set in a futuristic London and will be a sci-fi/dystopian novel.
4. What do you do in your spare time?
I play Flag-Football and help to run the Women's Elite team in the UK. I also read (although I guess that one goes without saying!) and am currently in the process of moving house and preparing for my wedding at the end of the month, so I am keeping very busy! I'm also on Goodreads and Pinterest most evenings.
5. If you were stranded on a desert island which character do you want by your side?
From my own book, I would pick Jasmine - I don't want to go into why, as it gives away really important plot points, but she would definitely be helpful in a survival situation.
From literature as a whole, I think I would pick Valek from the Study series by Maria V Snyder. Although Will from TID was a close contender.
6. Team Edward or Jacob?
Edward - I got very concerned when I was reading Eclipse, as I started to think Bella might end up with Jacob!
7. Team Peeta or Gale?
Peeta. I nearly always prefer whichever love interest the protagonist knows/likes first, but Peeta is the exception to this rule. I love the way the series ends.
