Summary:
Trent Feldor is a Seeker vampire who protects human females from Rogue vampires who would take them as mates. Kellie is a reporter who wants to make the front page of the Adelaide newspaper by finding the Parklands Killer. Instead she stumbles straight into a vampire fight and she is the trophy being fought for.
Kellie has never let anyone into her life since her mother's death, and isn't going to let the mysterious Trent get under her skin. As for Trent, he may have found the one woman he could love but he will have to stop Rogue vampires who want to kidnap her, and vampire hunters who want to kill him.
Excerpt:
“I know this is a leap of faith and trust you have to give me Kellie. One I don’t deserve and haven’t earned but I truly just wish to be with you and give you something in return.”
Looking into his smoldering grey eyes she believed him. None of the men she had ever been with had ever looked at her with such raw desire and though it scared her, it scared her more that she might never get a chance like this again. She placed her hands on her thighs to stop them from shaking and took a deep breath.
“Will I remember any of this?”
He smiled as if she had already decided to stay. “I can only allow you to retain the memories of our lovemaking and our friendship.”
Trent ran his thumb across her bottom lip the simple action making her shiver with pleasure.
“You really won’t try and control me in any way.” Her words came out hesitantly but had already decided she wasn’t leaving. She felt drawn to Trent in a way she had never experienced before and her heart hammered in her chest as if it would explode, not with fear but excitement.
Trent ran his other hand over her hair and twirled a curl around his finger. “Your mind is your own. I’d only have you to do what you want. But what I would love to do is share a shower with you right now so I could wash and touch your beautiful body. ”
About the author:
Maggie Mundy lives in Adelaide, Australia and is a member of Romance Writers of Australia, and the local chapter SARA (South Australian Romance Authors). She had a short story published in the RWA Topaz Anthology Little Gems in 2010 called Sea and Vines. Over the past year she has had stories on line with Alfie dog in the UK and Antipodean SF in Australia.
She always loved reading all forms of speculative fiction and decided the stories in her head needed to be written down. It was either that or start on medication. She didn’t know she wanted to be a writer until a few years back when she started doing a degree in drama but soon realised her love was writing, though there is a play lurking somewhere on her computer. Her day job is as a nurse in the operating room which helps with research for her gory scenes. She believes romance can be fun but it’s exciting to spice it up with the unknown where the rules can be broken.

Aw! That scene is cute, and a bit bittersweet lol
Hi. Sorry I am coming in a bit late but just waking up in Australia. Blood Scent was great fun to write and I am considering continuing the vampire stories with other couples all around Australia. I will let readers get to experience some of what we have to offer down here.
Sounds intriguing, Maggie. Beautiful cover too.
Nice excerpt

Thanks Claire, I loved the cover too. As a debut cover I think the cover gods were shining on me. I would like to continue the look with sequels if I can.
Glad you enjoyed the excerpt. I chose it because it is a pivotal point where she makes a big decision to proceed with their relationship. It was a big step for both of them so they needed to be aware of what they were accepting.
Well I'm definitely intrigued...
Thanks for hosting my book. Hope that we meet again with future books.
