don't know which book shocked me

Right now I'm stuck in dark visions by L.J. Smith.

That's an interesting question. To Kill a Mockingbird, I think. It raises a lot of pertinent questions about social divisions and class lines. I think its relevant in today's society as well.

Same as Ashleigh, To Kill A Mockingbird really shocked me. It's a book that I know I can read a thousand times and will still find it awesome!

I've read many banned books but none of them shocked me. I found them raw but in a good way!
Thank you for the giveaway :)

I think I was a bit shocked by Lady Chatterley's lover when I first read it in high school (or at least shocked that such a book was written in 1928)!

I don't think I have read any Thanks for being in the hop and the great giveaway.

TO Kill A Mockingbird!

I think I can see where most of the banned books were banned although of course I do not agree. Normally has to do with the time, place, and cultural norms/no-no's at that point. Thanks!

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell!! What can possibly be offensive about a tale of a horse?

Thanks your for sharing the hop and the giveaway. I would have to agree with Black Beauty. evamillien at gmail dot com

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Great book.

Black Beauty definitely surprises me!

The classics really. How can they be "banned"?

I'm really surprised that The Golden Compass was banned. I didn't think it should have been

The Hunger Games

Lord of Flies - I can see why it's banned, I just can't see why would anyone think it's book worth reading.

And Then There Were None - I think Agatha Christie is classic.

The Lorax!!!

Eleanor&Park

I was honestly surprised that The Hunger Games made the list, although I should've known. I guess since I adore this series so much, I assumed everyone else loves it too. But I get how some people would be upset by it.

That Was Then, This Is Now

Harry Potter is my all time favorite! I can read those books over and over again and I still get stuck in them.

It was really surprising that Harry Potter was banned. It was for such a silly reason as well!

I haven't read any banned book yet.

It didn't shock me that it was banned, but it shocked me that Harry Potter was number one on the list. Nothing regarding censorship really surprises me anymore.

Can't believe To Kill a Mockingbird was banned crazy world we are in now that literature gets banned.... freedom of speech..yeah right.

The Bridge To Terabithia.
